Our sampling kits are unique as they are designed specifically for landlords in the Scottish Private Rental sector, to ensure that they comply with the Repairing Standard set out by the Scottish Government:
 
D.20 In order to comply with the Repairing Standard, lead pipes and lead lined storage tanks or fittings should not be present in the drinking water supply of any privately rented property from the boundary stopcock to the kitchen tap. This includes:
Drinking water outlets;
Pipework to drinking water outlets;
Water storage tanks within the dwelling; and
Water storage tanks in the loft space, including any common storage tanks located in tank rooms or in the roof space.
 
To ensure each of the aformentioned areas are included, we test cold water samples from where water can be consumed, i.e. kitchen tap, bathroom tap and en-suite tap(s).
